Last week the top 17 acts who survived the judges round performed and were whittled down to the top 12 by their judges. Tonight the top 12 acts performed live, with one to be eliminated this week as the show moves to the standard performance/results show format. The good news is that XFactor has been renewed for a second season. Simon was thrilled and said “I am absolutely thrilled with the news. I have loved making the show and I want to thank FOX, our sponsors and most importantly, the fans for supporting The X Factor.”
LaKoda Rayne is a group of 4 females put together by X Factor judges when each of these contestants independandly did not make the top 32. The judges thought it would be a good idea to put them in a group. They consider themselves a Country/Pop group.
What does their name mean?
According to one of the members of the group, “Lakoda” means Friendship with allies and “Rayne” means Blossoms from Above.
It’s on to the second day of X Factor’s boot camp week. Today we will see who will make it through and make up the final 32 acts that will be mentored by the judges. In the previous episodes, the 162 finalists were cut down to 100 and split into ensemble groups. They had five hours to learn and rehearse new songs and perform them in front of the judges. One third of the groups will be eliminated from this round.
The audition phase of X Factor is over and the bootcamp begins. In what will be the toughest week of the competition, 162 performers or groups will fight a spot in the top 32. These will be split in to the four groups – boys, girls, over 30′s, and groups. Each of the judges – Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, and L.A. Reid – will mentor one of these groups through the competition.
This time around, the X Factor crew head over to Newark, NJ for the final set of Auditions. This time around there are more potential stars to get excited about. By now we know how the groups form up. They are Girls, Boys, Over 30s, and Groups. As this is the final set of auditions, we will soon learn who will mentor each group, as we move on to the Boot Camp round next week.
The second night of X Factor Premier week went to Miami and Dallas. The show featured some weirdos again like a girl that claimed she sees ghosts and a guy that argued so much with Simon that may have cost him a passing vote. However, we also had a few excellent contestant, like 18-year-old Melanie Amaro, who did a Beyonce song that got standing ovation from all judges and Paula stating that she is the best contestant she has ever seen. Another highlight was Nick Voss who did an Elvis cover. Below you will see some of the videos. READ MORE
