X Factor US kicks off in Los Angeles

Last weekend on a rainy Sunday X Factor US kicked off at LA Sports Arena in Los Angeles. Thousands of people showed up amid rain, for a chance to grab the $5 million recording contract. Several attendees reported that there were no Simon Cowell or LA Reid present for judging and neither were any of the other potential judges that have been named, including Paula Abdul, George Michael, Nicki Minaj, Maria Carey, Nicole Scherzinger and Taylor Momsen.

It is presumed that some other judges decide the best of this first round and the best contestants will be called back to perform again in front of the real judges.
