Britney Spears has been offered $10 million to be a judge on the popular TV show The X-Factor, according to Deadline Hollywood. Rumors that the 30-year-old pop star was interested in being a member on the reality singing show came into view last month after reports that the first-season judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger were leaving the show.
At first, The X Factor creator Simon Cowell remained silent about Spears’ interest to join the show. However, it is known that Cowell wants to add a major star to the show to compete with American Idol and The Voice. However, later he commented that he thought the idea was very “intriguing.” In an interview on The Billy Bush Show radio program in February, Cowell had this to say about the idea: “I’m fascinated by [Britney]. The fact that she’s one of the most talked about — not just pop stars — but people in the world today, means that you’ve got this star power.” He added that Britney has resilience because she has been able to juggle many responsibilities, including her family and a career.
While Cowell believes that Spears would be a great addition to the show, nothing has been confirmed yet.
