During practice last week Josh Krajcik had issues with his voice giving out. After a doctor checked him out, he blamed the problem on his drinking and smoking and warned him to stop doing so. Josh is currently in the Top 10 is risking his chance to win. Nicole Scherzinger, his mentor, also warned him and told him if he doesn’t stop, he might be eliminated.
Last night the top 11 performed. There were some great performances and some not so great ones. Last week the bottom two were the groups Intensity and Stereo Hoggz. Will that be a a sign of things to come? read on for more.
As usual we have guest performances and today we had Willow Smith taking the stage to perform “Fireball” and “Price Tag” star Jessie J will performed “Domino”.
Here we are at the performance of the top 11. This week, we will finally find out who will make the top 10 of the first season of X Factor. Just like last week, there will be two shows, the performance and results show. The performances are getting more and more polished as the contestants adjust to the demands of the show and the judges start to get a better idea of what sort of artists the performers want to be.
Last night the top 12 acts performed live and their fates put in the hands of America. All in all, every single one of the contestants did well and drew praise from the judges. If there was any criticism, it was between the judges, who did not agree with some of their colleagues choices in songs and acts. To recap, the top 12 acts are: Stereo Hoggz, InTENsity, Marcus Canty, Drew, Leroy Bell, Astro, Lakoda Rayne, Rachel Crow, Chris Rene, Josh Krajcik, Melanie Amaro, and Stacy Francis.
Last week the top 17 acts who survived the judges round performed and were whittled down to the top 12 by their judges. Tonight the top 12 acts performed live, with one to be eliminated this week as the show moves to the standard performance/results show format. The good news is that XFactor has been renewed for a second season. Simon was thrilled and said “I am absolutely thrilled with the news. Now that the judges’ home rounds are over, the competition get live, and tough. The contestants sang in front a stadium level audience and probably felt more pressure than ever before. The show was already long and it was a small miracle that they managed to get all 17 performances in the two and a half hours. These rounds are going to be entertaining. Not only the acts performing, but the competition we see from the judges. They can now slam each other for song choices etc, and they do not disappoint.

It’s on to the second day of X Factor’s boot camp week. Today we will see who will make it through and make up the final 32 acts that will be mentored by the judges. In the previous episodes, the 162 finalists were cut down to 100 and split into ensemble groups. They had five hours to learn and rehearse new songs and perform them in front of the judges. One third of the groups will be eliminated from this round.
