Tonight each judge has to send two of their acts to the Top 12 and the other two have to sing one last time to stay in the competition. If they do not perform their best, they are sent home. After the chaos from last week’s episode starting late and then another one not showing at all, we have come to the point where the Top 16 will be revealed. The season seems like it has just flown by. We have met some interesting characters and amazing talent along the way. Demi and her group of Young Adults were first tonight. Fox just announced that Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian Odom will be the new hosts of “The X Factor.” They will be replacing last year’s host Steve Jones, who in my opinion sucked. I am glad to see him gone. I am not sure about Khloe, but I think Mario is a great choice. [READ MORE]

With 60 contestants left, there will be 24 left in just a few minutes. It is the last day of boot camp and the judges will decide who goes home and they will also find out the categories the performers will be placed in and which judge will mentor which category. The categories decided are young adult which include CeCe Frey, Willie Jones, Jennel Garcia, Nick Youngerman, Paige Thomas and Jillian Jensen, Over 25’s that have Jason Brock, David Correy, Tara Simon, Vino Alan, Daryl Black and Tate Stevens, Groups which include Sister C, Dope Crisis, Playback, Emblem3, One4Five, Lylas and Lyric Da Queen and Teens which make up Beatrice Miller, James Tanner, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Diamond White, Arin Ray and Reed Deming. There are 60 acts left in the competition. The contestants are paired into duos. They have to work together, chose a song together and perform the song together. Tara Simon and Jannel Garcia sing Landslide. Tara over sang the song and she kept making weird, scary faces as she was singing. She also made one attempt at a high note and it came out flat. Jannel, on the other hand, did great with the song. Simon hated the song choice saying he didn’t feel it represented who they were as singers. [READ MORE]
Simon puts the contestants up at a ritzy hotel in Miami. The contestants have to each sing one song in front of everyone. There are 120 performers and half will go home by the end of tonight. Diamond White is 13 years old and decides to sing I Have Nothing. She was awful. This song was way too big for a 13 year old to be singing. She was so off key and it sounded too karaoke.
